Join us for a 14 day art and wellness retreat based in Bagnara, Calabria, where the mountains meet the sea. Two 2027 sessions: May 20 to June 3 and September 2 to 16. The retreat balances artmaking, cultural experiences, nature, and personal time, with workshops in clay, textiles and loom weaving, drawing, painting, and botanical jewelry. Limited to 9 participants per session.
What it costs
Every guest pays the same retreat fee of $5,825 CAD per person, which covers:
- Studio 77 hosting and all group transportation, including airport transfers: $3,800
- 13 dinners and the boat excursion: $1,500
- Workshop materials, instructors, and museum and gallery entrance fees: $525
The only thing that changes your price is your accommodation choice at the Mediterranean Sunset Veranda (13 nights):
- Luxury Apartment, shared: $1,750 per person. Total $7,575 per person.
- Ground Floor Apartment, shared: $1,100 per person. Total $6,925 per person.
Prices are in Canadian dollars, plus applicable taxes. Reserve your spot with a 30% non-refundable deposit at checkout; the balance is invoiced and due 12 weeks before the retreat.

How Booking Works

Come Together & Save: some experiences are even better shared. Book two or more spots in a single booking and receive 5% off the retreat fee, a saving of $291.25 per person. All spots must be booked and their deposits paid together to qualify.

The remaining balance is due 84 days before your session (February 24, 2027 for early summer, June 9, 2027 for late summer); we will send you an invoice ahead of the due date, payable by card or e-transfer. Prefer to pay in full? Let us know and we will send the balance invoice right after your booking. For bookings made on or after the balance due date, the balance invoice is sent immediately.

Before You Book
Please read and confirm each of the following.
WALKING: The retreats are inclusive of everyone but unfortunately, they are not accessible. Many of the excursions require a good amount of walking on mixed terrain (cobblestone, asphalt, dirt roads, sand, grass, etc), including hills, uneven pavement, and steps.
LUGGAGE: We suggest traveling with no more than one medium-size checked bag and one carry-on bag. Please double-check your airline's weight limits, even if you are only using a carry-on.
ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE: The group shuttle departs Reggio Calabria Airport (REG) on arrival day, and group transportation returns to the airport on departure day. If you miss the shuttle pick-up window, you can take the train from Reggio to Bagnara; the stay is a 10-minute walk from Bagnara station. Onward travel after a missed shuttle is your responsibility, and no refunds are given for missing the shuttle. Complete arrival and departure details, including shuttle times, will be included in your confirmation email.
FLIGHTS: Flights are not included in the retreat price. You are responsible for booking your own flights to and from Reggio Calabria Airport (REG).
TRAVEL INSURANCE: If you must cancel your trip for any reason, including health reasons for yourself or a family member, the cancellation terms below will apply. Trip cancellation insurance can cover some or all of these expenses, and we highly recommend obtaining a policy through your travel agency, credit card, or airline.
Trip Cancellation Terms
You are responsible for reading and understanding our terms and cancellation policy. The 30% deposit is non-refundable. Should you cancel your trip, the following terms apply based on your session:
- Before the balance due date: cancellations received in writing before your session's balance due date forfeit the deposit; any balance already paid is refunded.
- Early summer (May 20 to June 3, 2027): cancellations received in writing between February 24 and March 16, 2027 receive a 20% refund of the balance paid, excluding the deposit. From March 17, 2027 (63 days or fewer before the retreat), no refunds.
- Late summer (September 2 to 16, 2027): cancellations received in writing between June 9 and June 29, 2027 receive a 20% refund of the balance paid, excluding the deposit. From June 30, 2027 (63 days or fewer before the retreat), no refunds.
- Credit option: within the no-refund period you may request a credit toward a future Studio 77 retreat within 12 months of the original retreat date, subject to availability. Credits apply only to the refundable portion of the amount paid, are not redeemable for cash, and are non-transferable.
- Refund processing: approved refunds are typically returned to the original payment method within 6 to 12 business days.
- Cancellation by Studio 77: if Studio 77 cancels a retreat, all monies paid are refunded in full to the original payment method.
